About

The Rhode Island Healthy Schools Coalition, in partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Health, developed the RIGHT TO KNOW web app as a convenient and private way for adolescents and young adults in our state to access medically accurate, honest, and stigma-free sexual and reproductive health information and resources.

An Advisory Group, composed of public health experts, health care clinicians, health educators, and importantly, RI youth, provide ongoing advice and recommendations for its content and user interface.

Sexuality is a normal and lifelong part of health and wellbeing and its development includes biological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions. Young people have the right to information and resources to help them build safe and healthy relationships, make informed decisions, feel acceptance and self-esteem, and consider influences of culture, personal values, and beliefs.
